Section 8 – Local Support Services

There are lots of local support services young people can access to help them with their next steps including information, advice and guidance and support to find a job.

Dorset and BCP Councils have teams to support 16 – 18 year olds Not in Employment Education or Training (NEETs) . [This support can also extend to older vulnerable young people].

Up In BCP – A service for young people in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Feeling low, anxious, sad or stressed? The Steps to Wellbeing service helps people (18+) struggling with any of the following:-

  • Work place stress
  • Knowing your rights
  • Talking to your manager
  • Finding work
  • Work and life are out of balance
  • Employment advice
